Any hopes that doctors and hospital administrators had that the new GOP House members would delay or derail the October 2015 implementation of ICD-10 seem to be misplaced. ICD-10 is on track according to committee Chairs Fred Upton (R) of Michigan and Pete Session (R) of Texas.

Our advice is to stop hoping and get planning. The industry will not be able to count on a congressman slipping a delay into bill this time around.

A division of HealthCare Simplified started as a telehealth company before telehealth was approved for insurance and Medicare  reimbursements. We believe it has a future roll in driving down the cost of care for those with chronic illness such as diabetes. To that end here is quick blurb and link to a success story on TeleHealth in Mississippi.

This past January the state partnered with the University of Mississippi Medical Center, North Sunflower Medical Center, GE Healthcare, Intel-GE Care Innovations, and C Spire to provide people with diabetes more consistent and timely access to clinicians through the use of telehealth technology in their homes.
